Chiefs beat reporter Josh Looney has reported on his Twitter page that the Chiefs have placed running back Dantrell Savage on injured reserve. Savage was added to the Chiefs injury report on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Apparently it is severe enough to end his season. Savage had 10 carries for 45 yards this season in limited duty. Looney also reported that rookie wide receiver Quinten Lawrence has been released. Lawrence was a sixth round pick by the Chiefs in 2009 and has seen action in just four games this season primarily as a kick returner. Source: Josh Looney, Twitter.com
