The Providence Journal reports GM Scott Pioli and the Kansas City Chiefs are in pursuit of defensive end Le Kevin Smith. Smith, 27, is 6'3", 308 pounds and has only played in a 3-4 defense in his career. Le Kevin Smith was originally a 2006 sixth round pick by the Patriots (And Pioli), and last August Bill Belichick traded him to Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos.

Sixth round pick by the Pats?

He never really got a chance to start in NE due to the depth at the d-line. When he was on the field he was a decent player. I think he'd be a good pickup for the Chiefs

If he's got ANY experience on the field in a 3-4 then we need him.
