Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that Matt Cassel's ability to do some work at practice Wednesday "was encouraging," but the team will continue to closely monitor the quarterback this week. Cassel was back on the practice field Wednesday one week after undergoing an appendectomy that kept him out of last Sunday's loss at San Diego, but whether he will start Sunday against the Rams remained uncertain. Cassel worked in non-contract drills Wednesday, handing off to running backs Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones, and completed 40-yard passes to wide receivers Terrence Cooper and rookie Verran Tucker in a brief period when practice was open to the media. When i said the Chiefs are the 6-0 Broncos of the past year, i wasnt lying... SD will catch KC and it will be over QUICK
As the saying goes...any team can win on any given Sunday...I'm rooting for Bengals and Broncos to win when they face SD! And yeah, I kinda threw up just saying that. :icon_eek:
