Chiefs QB Matt Cassell Booed As Chiefs Lose To Bills

Loud boos were heard coming from the stands on Sunday as the Chiefs took on the Bills. There was no doubt these boos were directed at Chiefs Quarterback Matt Cassell who was questioned about it after the game. “Hey, they’re allowed to do whatever they want. They pay the money to come here and we have to performâ€￾ said Cassell.

what he meant was 'they can boo all they want because they pay for that RIDICULOUS salary I got'

 

It's not just the offensive line, it's also all the dropped passes that we lead the league in. One of which by Chambers could have very well cost us the game yesterday. I'll be the first to admit the guy isn't setting the world on fire, but he's proven he can win 11 games in this league. Sure he had talent around him, but shouldn't we be striving to put talent around him as well?

 

I agree....Matt Cassel can't win...or lose...the games by himself...I wasn't happy with all the INT's yesterday, but that last one, he was just trying to get the game won...and if one of those Chiefs players had been the one to catch the ball, and we had won, we wouldn't be having this conversation today and we would all be happy little campers. :icon_cheesygrin:

Cassell was grossly overpaid, and that's the only reason why he's being looked at as a bust. Had he been given a "normal" salary, you're looking at some general displeasure, but not looked at as a huge waste of money.

So basically it's the front office's fault for giving a guy who hadn't really proven anything beyond a season a ridiculous amounts of money

 

The contract isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Because he was franchised he was already guaranteed 15 million. With his new contract he has 28 million guaranteed, only 13 million above what he was already going to get.

 

I like his attitude, and I liked that the camera got his lips telling the fans to 'shut the heck up' while he was walking off the field.
