The Kansas City Chiefs have a welcome problem on their hands: keeping running backs Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones happy. So far, the potentially formidable tandem seems to be working well together as the coaching staff distributes the football. “I knew we had to get another playmaker and somebody to help me out,†Charles told the Kansas City Star. “He’ll get some carries, I’ll get some carries. I don’t have any problem with that. It’s turning into a two-back league, anyway. I’m a small back. I’m not a big back but I know how to take care of my body. Just having another back will help me out. When I go out of the game, I know we’ve got somebody that can pick us up. I don’t have to hurry up and catch my breath and go back in the game.†Both rushed for over 1,000 yards last season with Jones leading the AFC with over 1,400 yards. Neither is Jones greedy. He came to the Chiefs knowing they already had Charles. "I just feel comfortable here," Jones said. "This isn’t my first time having a couple other backs. To me it’s not as big a deal as it is maybe to other people. I’ve played with other great backs and it’s never been a problem, and it won’t be a problem here.â€
