Things didn’t work out well for the Chiefs the last time they entered the regular season with a rookie as their kicker. They will try again this season, going with seventh-round draft pick Ryan Succop of South Carolina. The Chiefs saw to that Tuesday by releasing their incumbent kicker, Connor Barth.
