Chiefs Release RB Larry Johnson

    The Kansas City Chiefs released RB Larry Johnson on Monday. In 75 games (55 starts) with Kansas City, Johnson rushed 1,375 times for 5,996 yards (4.4 avg.) with 55 touchdowns. He also registered 151 receptions for 1,369 yards (9.1 avg.) with six TDs

    im in shock and awe. i didnt think that they had it in them 2 release him. but all i have 2 say is, it's about time. dont let the door hit you as you head out the door.

    Wow, LJ's future in KC didn't look good but he gets released in the middle of the season? WOW!

    WOW. I'm surprised that they cut him. Not saying I disagree with the move, just didn't think the 'business' side of things would do it.

    Good to see the front office 'do the right thing'.

    I would think the Seahaawks are the more than likely landing spot for him. They have an opening and they have a history of playing RB past their prime, SA, Edge so why not LJ. That way they can say they the all the best RB from the early part of this decade play form them.

    I just have to know, WTF took so long? I am happy for the Chiefs and the fans but still don't know why this took as long as it did.

    In a climate where the CBA is king and the PA so strong, I'm surprised it only took 2 weeks and anticipated him littering the bench for the rest of the year.
