Kansas City Chiefs coach Todd Haley said quarterback Matt Cassel (FSY) remains a question mark for Kansas City's home opener Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Cassel missed last week's season opener at Baltimore with a left knee injury he sustained in the third preseason game on Aug. 29. He returned to practice last week but did appear to be limping slightly

He's had the most playing time with the starters.

*sigh* Give a player big money and it seems like they spend more time injured than on the field. :icon_confused:

With the way Croyle played I would vote not to rush Cassel back until he is at least 98%

Playing him now against this Raider defense would probably end the season for him.

He's actually very comfortable on the Bench. It's where he has spent almost his whole career in College, and at NE. I'm not sold on this guy. When you can't hit a Moss on a deep route, there is a problem.

i live here in kansas city and was listening to haley's presser yesterday and he said interestingly, "Cassell WANTS to get better and get back on the field and that helps a player get back quickly"

his comment indicates that haley has had players in the past that were not interested in getting back on the field. i know it's probably true but it always seems amazing to me that guys that play professional sports at the highest level wouldn't really enjoy it.
