Chiefs tight end Leonard Pope is being praised as a hero, rescuing six-year-old Bryson Moore in Americus, Ga., from drowning. “We were attending a pool party, and Bryson was in the water with the other kids,†Anne Moore told the Americus Times-Recorder. “All of a sudden, I saw Bryson going down in the water and I started screaming. Leonard was inside, and he came out of nowhere and dove into the water without any hesitation, cell phone in his pocket and all. He saved my son’s life, and I am so thankful that he was there for me and my child.†It's fortunate that Pope was back in his hometown during the NFL lockout and not in Kansas City for offseason workouts. Per the report, Pope was the lone person at the party who knew how to swim. “My prayers were answered by God when Leonard jumped in and saved my son,†Moore said. “The fact that he is normally at camp and could have been in Kansas City just proved to me that he was placed here to save my son from drowning, and I thank God that he was here. He truly lived up to his nickname “Champ†because he was truly a champion for me and my son this past weekend.†Source: National Football Post
Why allow your kids to go into the water, when nobody can rescue them? Good Pope was there and didn't hesitate
Absolutely....if you care so little about your children, you shouldn't have them...I agree with you 100%. :icon_evil:
Headline should have read: "Chiefs TE Leonard Pope Saves A Drowning Child After Mother Drowns In Attempted Rescue" One thing to show your ignorance by letting your child swim with no life guard but another to show your lack of love by not diving in no matter what.
