Riley Cooper has just six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets. The Eagles officially credit him with one drop, though NFL.com counted two in a study of Week 3 game tape alone. Cooper appears to be out of his depth, though his coach thinks otherwise. "Riley's done an unbelievable job," Chip Kelly said Thursday, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Especially blocking on the perimeter, great red zone target for us." A seemingly hyperbolic assessment from his coach, though we do see Cooper's potential near the end zone. He showed off his ability to use his size and strength on a 13-yard touchdown reception in Week 2 against the San Diego Chargers. Source: NFL.com
His job is also getting separation and being a reliable #2. He's been crap at that. Despite being the #2 offense in the NFL so far, the team misses Maclin big time.
