Former Detroit Lions defensive end Cliff Avril has no regrets. It's been well-documented Avril rejected a three-year, $30 million offer from the Lions last offseason hoping to cash in as a free agent in 2013. But with a glut of pass-rushing talent on the market, he was only able to net a two-year, $13 million deal from the Seattle Seahawks. Avril isn't about to bemoan the missed opportunity. "No, everything happens for a reason," Avril said during one of his Tuesday appearances on the NFL Network. "I definitely don't have any regrets. I'm going to a great team, a great young team, that's possibly one of the better teams in the league. I'm going to be able to have a chance to wins some games, maybe go to the playoffs and hopefully win some games in the playoffs. I'm definitely not regretting it." Once again, Avril confirmed there was a $30 million offer on the table, but he wasn't happy with specific components of the proposed deal. "The guarantees and some of that stuff, wasn't what I thought I wanted at the time. It was a decision I made and I'm happy I made it." Source: MLive.com
