The Colts lost starting guard Donald Thomas for the season in Sunday’s 24-20 loss to Miami and face an uncertain status with wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey. Thomas, who signed a four-year, $14 million free-agent contract in March, tore the quadriceps tendon in his right leg in the first quarter. He’ll undergo season-ending surgery. “Feel awful about Donald, but that’s how this game is,†coach Chuck Pagano said. Heyward-Bey was scheduled to undergo an MRI on a shoulder.
