Speaking at the NFL Owners' meetings in Atlanta on Thursday, Colts owner Jim Irsay said he expects quarterback Peyton Manning (neck surgery) to be "ready to go" for the start of the season. Some media outlets made a big deal recently of a report that Manning won't be cleared for the start of training camp, but that's probably due in large part to the fact that Manning simply can't be cleared without being able to consult with team doctors during the lockout. Manning hasn't missed a game in his 13-year career. Source: John McClain: Twitter.com
