The Colts have placed left guard Donald Thomas on injured reserve and waived fullback Dan Moore. Thomas tore a quad tendon in his right leg during the first quarter of Sunday's 24-20 loss to Miami. Coach Chuck Pagano said Monday that Thomas would undergo season-ending surgery. He is expected to be replaced in Indy's lineup by rookie Hugh Thornton, a third-round draft pick. Moore signed with the Colts as an undrafted rookie in April after playing at Montana. Source: Associated Press
