The Colts have cut QB Nate Davis after having him on the roster for less than a month. Davis played in the team's preseason opener last Saturday vs. St. Louis, completing 3-of-7 throws for 36 yards. He was competing for a backup job to Peyton Manning, but apparently was too far behind Dan Orlovsky and Curtis Painter in the competition. He was signed by Indianapolis in late July and was considered a fan favorite after playing his college ball locally at Ball State. Davis, who was drafted by the 49ers in 2009, has never played in an NFL game.

He has dyslexia and is a very slow learner and with no off season he couldn't put it together.
