The latest step on Bob Sanders’ return from offseason knee surgery has involved another check-up with one of the country’s premier orthopedic surgeons. The Indianapolis Colts’ veteran safety is in Birmingham, Ala. to meet with Dr. James Andrews, and the update is promising. “Dr. Andrews has looked at him and really feels he’s on target and coming along,’’ coach Jim Caldwell said today. “He’s making progress. (Sanders) feels good about where he is, Dr. Andrews feels good about where he is, so that means I should feel good about where he is.’’ The team isn’t certain whether Sanders, the NFL’s 2007 Defensive Player of the Year, will be ready for the Sept. 13 regular-season opener against Jacksonville. I always want players to be healthy, but why did he choose the last recovery to kick us out of the Play Offs? Boob Sanders.
Yea dont want to wish injury on anyone, but would hope he's out for week one. Indy's D is pish pie without him, especially v's the run.
