Monday, the Cowboys practiced for the first time with scoreboards in place at Valley Ranch according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. The scoreboards are in place between the two practice fields at each end. The purpose of the scoreboard is to simulate a game-like situation, such as a tie game with a minute left. On Monday, the scoreboard was lit up with this situation: game tied at 24-24 with 59.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter. "We just feel like what we're trying to do as coaches is simulate the game as much as we can in all parts of our practice, our regular team work or our situational work at the end of practice," Garrett said. "We've tried to do that from the start of training camp. We think it's valuable in recreating and simulating a game when you have that scoreboard. You have the time that everybody can see, and you understand what the situation is as concretely as possible." Source: The Redzone
Game situations being the 4th quarter, up by 24, so they can practice calling runs and Romo can practice not sucking in the 4th.
As I said not my words.... It's going. To be a good. Close game Imo. We are going. To be at our healthiest since start of the season... Our wrs and Cb are all healthy... Sent from my HTC EVO
Im not looking past the Cowboys. If both teams play their best game it'll be 7 point difference at most.
We all know it'll be a huge blowout by New England. ;) But how does adding a scoreboard help in this situation? Tony Romo sucks at holding onto the ball and not making stupid decisions at the end of a game. The scoreboard helps...how?
