Cowboys Agree To A 5-Year, $11.8M Deal With WR Dez Bryant

The Dallas Cowboys announced they agreed to terms with first-round pick Dez Bryant on Thursday. The deal is for five years and $11.8 million, with $8.5 million guaranteed. Bryant's agent, Eugene Parker, said some of the language of the contract is still being worked out. Bryant, the 24th pick of the draft, is expected to report on time for Cowboys training camp on Saturday in San Antonio. Bryant, who was unavailable for comment, becomes the first first-round pick to agree to a contract, coming to terms before St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick.

I'm glad to see this. I was afraid the Cowboys wouldn't sign him before training camp opened, which is Saturday.

 

Damn... that was too smooth... bitter, lol.

The bar has been set. Shall see a bunch of signings soon I would assume.

 

This signing is kindof out of place for us. We usually wait until the domino's fall. However playing in the HOF game push's the report date up, so we dont have that luxury.

Luckily, we had Harvin's deal to go off last year, since he was picked only two spots higher
