Already thin at cornerback without Terence Newman (groin) the Dallas Cowboys lost Orlando Scandrick to a sprained ankle in the second quarter Sunday against the New York Jets. Scandrick, who will not return to the game, headed to the locker room for X-rays and was replaced by Alan Ball. Bryan McCann would move into the nickel role. Mike Jenkins, who did not play in the preseason because of a stinger, missed a few plays in the first quarter but returned. The Cowboys dressed only four corners because of Newman's injury.
