If the Cowboys had a better alternative at free safety, they probably would bench Alan Ball. Right now, he has struggled, making it nearly three years of poor play at the position in Dallas since the Cowboys rewarded Ken Hamlin with a big payday. The team hasn't soured completely on Ball, but the idea that he is the team's long-term solution at the position is beginning to fade quickly. Source: Pro Football Weekly
Chalk this up to another bone headed move by Jerry. Instead of Lee we could of drafted Taylor Mays... Good move Jerry.
yeah cause personnel wise, jerry makes so many bone headed moves. if you go back to the draft, everyone was skeptical about Mays. i'd be willing to say, most people downed him.
i agree i wanted mays too..........and thats you have your own scouts so not tolisten to the so called experts......bc gods knows they nevr get it wrong
guys Mays would be an absolute disaster in Dallas scheme. He is successful in SF system because they don't expect him to cover very much. Lee was an excellent pick and the pick will pay off. You Dallas fans need to stop blaming Jones and realize it's the players and coaches faults. Jones put all the pieces together and it isn't his fault they aren't playing well.
im not blaming Jones i actually have defended him.....i dont think lee was bad pic but i like mays and remember JJ saying the same thing about mays in the Dallas system
I dont hate Lee, but I hated the pick. IMO taking a 3-4 ILB that high is goobered. You get those guys in the 4th and 5th. And if you do take one, take an elite one, which in a 3-4 would have been Spikes
fair opinion. I think though that when the Cowboys 3-4 system changes. *Maybe when your boy Rivera comes in) Lee will prove his pick.
