All the talk prior to free agency is over which offensive lineman the Cowboys might sign. But another high-profile player at a different position could end up being the apple of their eyes. Sources have said the Cowboys would love for Chiefs CB Brandon Carr to hit the open market, so they can make a run at him. The expectation is that the Chiefs could franchise Carr and are said to be in fine cap shape, but they also have WR Dwayne Bowe to worry about. If Carr somehow makes it to March 13 unsigned, expect the Cowboys to go all in for him and worry about a high-profile guard (Carl Nicks or someone else) thereafter. Source: Pro Football Weekly
Please the only reason they kept him is because thu had no one else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i like grimes better than carr also. i'm not sure carr would do anything other than add depth to your secondary. grimes would be an upgrade over any cb you currently have.
I like Carr. 11 INTs in his college career, plus 8 more in the pros from a small college you've never heard of. The question is, how much will he cost to sign?
That's been the issue for us. It has been reported that Carr wants a Flowers type deal, which would be investing $50 mil+ on each corner. That's something that Clark doesn't want to do. If Bowe doesn't get signed, there is a good chance Carr could walk. I think many of you are underestimating Carr. He's not flashy, but he's solid in coverage and I think he'd be a starter for the Cowboys.
carr's a risk-taker. he ends up defending a lot of passes and the completion % against him is low, but when he gives up a play, he REALLY gives up a play. he gets burned a lot and isn't very good at making the tackle after the catch is made. he can be a liability.
I heard today on The Ticket about 3:30 that if the Chiefs don't put a franchise tag on him, the Cowboys are going to make a run at him.
Idk if it's true or not, but Adam Schefter is saying that the Cowboys have signed Carr to a 5-year, $40 million dollar deal.
I looked all over the Webs for this and only thing I found is speculation as too what's gonna happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If it's 5 years for 40 mil, I'm gonna be pissed. That's a contract the Chiefs should've offered. Okay, I'm not finding it anywhere on his twitter. Can you link it?
I read that the Cowboys will go after Carr and Finnegan. I prefer Finnegan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
