Cowboys starting defensive end Anthony Spencer said he suffered a setback over the weekend in his recovery from arthroscopic left knee surgery July 25. Spencer said after running he experienced swelling in his left knee. He wouldn’t rule himself out yet for Sunday night’s season opener against the Giants but it certainly doesn’t look good for him. Spencer hasn’t practiced since he had knee surgery. Spencer said he ran Thursday and did some conditioning and if he doesn’t experience in knee swelling Friday could participate in some team drills. “It’s doing better,†Spencer said of his left knee. “I had a little setback some time during the weekend. It feels better today. “Yeah, it was just a minor setback. The swelling was there for a day in it was gone.†Source: Dallas Morning News
we're just not in good shape. ben bass has a dislocated shoulder and he's out 2-4 weeks as well (pending confirmation from mri or whatever). we have 3 active defense tackles going into this game. 3. three. heck. and a bunch of depth des playing de on top of it. life ain't so good.
Sundays game will be very interesting. Hell both the lines aren't looking that hot right now. Might be a long game.
