Defensive end Marcus Spears was surprised when the Cowboys drafted Dez Bryant. Not that the Cowboys picked the talented receiver but surprised that the club didn't trade Spears to move up to get him. "After I saw the trade, I thought that was me,'' said Spears. "I did. But it wasn't. We'll just wait and see. If I'm here when the first game starts, I'm a part of the team.'' Spears is resigned to the fact he's not a high-priority for the Cowboys and would like to stay with the Cowboys, but he doesn't hold a grudge over the stance the team has taken. "It's not about me getting outraged or getting down because to be honest with you, I don't have time to,'' Spears said. "No matter what you feel like what you've been dealt, at the end of the day, I'm going to make $1.2 million and probably 98 percent of America can't say they will.'' Source: Dallas Morning News
Will he just shut up already about this? Every other day he is saying something about the possibility of him being traded. It is getting old...
