Willing to trade up a couple spots for 1- Patrick Petterson I typically wouldnt be willing to trade up for the top rated CB, but the top rated CB is never this good. Not as much to say about him as Bowers. But sometimes there isnt much needed to say. This is one of those case's 2-Nick Frailey Same level prospect as Miller, but I value him more. He is valuable in a multiple front scheme as he can change a game at 5 Tech and 3 Tech. I wish he a little less like Ratliff skillset wise, but I think we can work that out. 3- Marcel Dareus Not a gamechanger that Fairley is going to be, but offers more versatility in a multiple front scheme. Hecan play 5 Tech and 3 Tech, and could also has the size to man the nose on a rotational basis The best of the best at #9 4- Robert Quinn Miller VS Quinn......Quinn VS Miller. Quin wins out in this one because he is much more suited to LOLB/LDE then Miller. 5- Von Miller Miller will be an elctrifying ROLB in a 3-4 somewhere. Problem is we already have one, a pretty good one. Miller doesnt have the skillset right now to be a top tier LOLB. However, he offer's versitility in that he can play LB in a 4 man line, and we are short on players that can be true LB's 6-Prince Amukamara A solid Petterson consolation prize if we are really targeting a CB. People debate wheather he is truely "elite". However he is a fantastic pick at #9. I would say he is slightly above Haden as a prospect. Not a playmaker, similar to a Newman which would be a good fit next to Jenkins, who is a gambler 7-Tyron Smith Highly polaraized prospective pick. Some Cowboy fans LOATH the idea of Smith. The want Carimi instead. However, Smith still upgrades RT the minute he is drafted, and in the passing NFL, and on a passing team. Smith makes sense to me. Somewhat similar to Brown, his former teammate. Needs to develope his body, and refine his game, but he can play in the NFL right now. If Bunting is right and he can carry 320 without losing his quickness, you have an elite LT. With Carimi, your getting Jon Runyan for life. My worry about Smith playing RT as a rook is him against top end bull rushers Trade Down prospects 8-Phil Taylor Like mentioned before, I value versitilty in front 7 moving to a new scheme. If you cant do it, I dont want you. Taylor is a rare NT prospect in that he can play 2 gap, and has the quickness to play 1 gap. He also has the ability to play the 5 Tech in sets where we want Ratliff at NT, meaning your 5 Tech are pure 2 gappers. he is rated as a late first right now, going to an interesting prospect to watch. I think he makes his way into the early part of the mid first (12-15) in the coming months 9- Jimmy Smith Top 10 talent at a position of need. Pick would be ballsy considering Bryant last year 10- Gabe Carimi Instant star RT. Dont see him full time as a LT, but I think he will be able to play it on a scab level. A bit like Jeff Backus in that respect. However, as a RT is an instant impact player. Dropped out Daquan Bowers A great fit, but I have too many questions about that knee Stay Away JJ Watt I had him on my trade down list before, but truth is he will be worthless to us in any set Ratliff is at NT. Like wont be on the field worthless Cam Jordan See JJ Watt Anthony Costanzo No more BC Right Tackles. Costanzo is not a LT in the NFL Nate Solder Would have rather taken Bruce Campbell in the 4th last year then Soldier in the first. Might be a good LT in 3 years. But no thanks Martez Wilson Last LB we drafted that was allergic to contact.......Bobby Carpenter Second Round Board 1- Derrick Sherrod Solid overall OT prospect could play either side of the line. Seems to be slipping due to better "athletes' at the position 2- Marcus Cannon Could project to either either RT or OG. Similar type athlete as Leonard Davis. Could be a massive, nimble OG capable of pulling 3-Ras I Dowling Great for for our scheme, and would have been a first had it not been for injuries 4- Cameron Heyward Probobly the best true 5 Tech in this draft.Wont be the playmaker Jordan and Watt are, but will be much more stout 5-Akeem Ayers Seems to be falling. Not a fan of him as a first, but is great value in the second as a possibleMike Vrable type OLB/ILB 6- Brandon Harris More of a Man CB, isnt as rounded as the top, and isnt as likely as the top 2 to be a #1 CB in the NFL. He is also a guy we seem to have some interest in 7- Aaron Williams Not as good a CB prospect as Harris IMO, but could also be drafted to be a FS 8- Davon House Another physical CB that is a great fit
