Cowboys Former Home Texas Stadium Imploded

Texas Stadium is nothing but a memory, and a huge mess. The longtime home of the Dallas Cowboys, known for the giant hole in its roof, "so God can watch his team," according to local lore, came tumbling down early Sunday in a planned demolition. After about six months of planning, it took less than a minute to turn the concrete and steel stadium into a twisted mess, cleanup is expected to take until July.

as ugly and dirty as that stadium was, and as much as I hate the Cowboys, i'll miss the few memories i have of it

I hated that place too, but much respect to it's history.

 

I wish this could have happened a few years ago...in the middle of a fully attended team practice.

The Cowboys had a building accident last season which injured one of our former players (David Buehler) and involved another.

It was not funny when it happened, and a coach is now in a wheelchair because of it. You don't joke about injury and accidents to any team, even a great rival.
