Cowboys FS Alan Ball To Compete To Start?

Discussion in 'Dallas Cowboys' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 18, 2010.

  1. Cowboys free safety Ken Hamlin, two seasons into a six-year, $39 million deal, didn’t create any turnovers and deflected only four passes. Alan Ball, a converted cornerback, proved that he can be a reliable free safety during his four-game stint as the starter when Ken Hamlin was injured. Beat Writer Tim MacMahon reports Ball will be back and has earned the right to compete for a starting job, whether Hamlin is on the roster or not.

Well i'm hoping that Hamlin is NOT on the roster at the start of next year. Ball has definately earned a right to compete for the job...ESPN draft needs for the NFC East has the Cowboys looking hard at safety prospects with the #27 pick. I hope that is not the case...we need to draft some young offensive line talent in the first round!
