The Cowboys believe George Selvie will be able to play Sunday against Denver based on how he’s progressed from his concussion, a source said.

The defensive end suffered a concussion in the second half of the team’s loss to San Diego.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: I always like Selvie's game and just thought he needed a break in the league to just get on the field and do what he does best, rush the passer. Teams are forced to double up DeMarcus Ware and so far Selvie has been cleaning up on the other side. He's got 11 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery so far this year. Not having Selvie in there is the last thing this defense needs this week. They are going to need all their weapons on defense to have any chance against the white-hot Broncos.

He still has to pass the NFL's concussion tests.
