If he had it to do over again, Jerry Jones might stick a sock on his mouth. But the usually unfiltered Jones shared his opinions after Sunday’s last-minute loss to the New England Patriots, and in those comments he questioned the play calling of first-year head coach Jason Garrett. Specifically, the Cowboys called three consecutive running plays on a short drive that included a penalty before punting to New England with 2:31 remaining in the game and a 16-13 lead. The Cowboys and punted and what happened was exactly what many expected – Tome Brady directed an 80-yard touchdown drive to produce a victory. “I would say that probably if I had that to do over again, I wouldn't comment, period," Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. "I wouldn't even answer a question about it. I was asked the questions and you can always say, 'No comment.' But I did (comment), and I was real clear that this was a flip of the coin. That's what Jason frankly is paid to do, is make those decisions, and there's no one that I'd rather have make the decisions regarding our football team right now on an offensive play-call."
