The Cowboys have 13 restricted free agents entering 2010 and at the top of the list is wide receiver Miles Austin, who made $1.545 million in 2009 with the second-round tender but to tender Austin at that level again, it would cost the Cowboys $1.759 million in 2010. The Cowboys want to sign Austin, who had 81 catches for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns, to a long-term contract. But in order to secure him, they would probably have to put the $3.168 million first- and third-round tender on him.

I wonder if the Jets wish they would have signed him last year.
