Cowboys Put Five Players On The Trading Block

  1. Michael Lombardi of The National Football Post reports the Cowboys would part with defensive end Marcus Spears, linebacker Bobby Carpenter, wide receiver Sam Hurd, safety Pat Watkins and lineman Cory Procter for the right price. Lombardi writes that all of them are being shopped around the league.

    I would be pissed if we traded Spears. No way we get any decent value for him with what players are getting traded for

    Trade them all...I think Hatcher and Bowen can pick up where Spears left off. I hope and pray Carpenter and Watkins get traded and sooner the better!

    Ithink Pat Watkins can go he never panned out to be anything. Spears not sure he does tie up the offensive lineman so Ware and Spencer can make plays. Bobby Carpenter had a good year as a coverage linebacker. If they trade Spears get a second or third round pick for him.

    I dont really like Bowen or Hatcher as starters. Both are good sub package guys, but Bowen is more of an energy guy. I dont think he can be an every down DE, especially not at Spears LDE spot. Hatcher is just god awful against the run. We would take a bigger hit trading Spears than people think IMO. And Im not willing to throw a solid 3-4 DL go for nothing more than a 5th
