Cowboys QB Tony Romo Received Shot To Handle Pain Of Bruised Ribs Before Chiefs Game

    Tony Romo said all week the bruised ribs he suffered in the opener wouldn’t be a problem against Kansas City. He said after the game there were no issues with his ribs.

    But the Cowboys quarterback also acknowledged he received shot before the game to handle the pain.

    “We talked about it throughout the week, just seeing how it would feel and yeah, it got to that point,’’ Romo said.

    Romo completed 30-of-45 passes for 298 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. But he completed only 8-of-15 passes in the final period.
