The Cowboys released safety Will Allen on Tuesday afternoon.

Allen, a 10-year veteran, signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys during free agency this past spring after a three-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

RichLikeWh0a's Take: I don't think anybody is surprised by this. If anybody expected a sub-par career back up to be on the Cowboys roster throughout this entire season let alone starting, they probably have no business watching football.

I don't think it matters if they trust him or not. They trust that Allen isn't the solution, lol.

That said, I love Wilcox. I think he'll end up really, really good. I am, however, slightly skeptical due to my natural pessimism. Wilcox is either going to blossom as he gets more experience, or be someone who's good enough that we keep giving him chances but never get any better and we inevitably replace him. Those are really the only two possible career routes for him. lol
