Cowboys fourth-round outside linebacker Brandon Williams' rookie season is over before it began. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while covering a punt against the Titans. "This kid had a chance to play some plays," said Wade Phillips, who thought Williams could contribute as a pass-rusher this season. "I guess he'll just have to do it next year." Williams, a Texas Tech product who needs surgery to repair the knee, will spend the season on injured reserve. Source: Dallas Morning News
