Heading into his first full season as the Cowboys' head coach, Jason Garrett has made it clear he's opening up competition at just about every position. That includes running back, where there's already strong sentiment that rookie third-round draft pick DeMarco Murray will step immediately into a starting role. There is good reason to believe that. Jones, an Arkansas alum like owner/general manager Jerry Jones, hasn't been healthy or consistent enough to deliver on the explosive potential he showed as a first-round draft pick three years ago. Marion Barber, with his own share of injuries, saw his role as the Cowboys' power back diminish last season. Source: Philly.com
He only missed 4 games in four years and thatvwas at beginning of his college career..I think he will be fine sent from my HTC EVO using tapatalk
Really? I could of sworn he was always missing every other game. Well hell that's how it seemed. You learn something new everyday.
Lulzgetalifeandgobasheliforthesamething. Or worry about if your quarterback is gonna spend time around anymore pitbulls. Everyone listened to all the media saying how injury prone Demarco was, but never took time to look it up themselves. Dude barely missed any time at OU. 50 games played in, in four years. Missed 1 game in the last 2 seasons. That's sooo injury prone.
I really don't understand this pick to be honest, I mean they already have Felix Jones and Tashard Choice to not run the ball with?
I think he is going to get the start just because he is a more all around back then the other two. Jones is extremely choppy in the pass game, and Choice is a horrible blocker. Wouldnt be surprised if Choice gets cut
