San Antonio's Sam Hurd will serve as the Cowboys special teams captain this season. "It tells me that I have the respect of my teammates, and I appreciate that,'' the Dallas Morning News quoted Hurd as saying. "That's what's important to me.'' The players voted on captains Friday. The captains of the offense are Tony Romo, Jason Witten and Marion Barber. The defensive captains are Bradie James, DeMarcus Ware and Keith Brooking.
