The Dallas Cowboys have filled the vacant spot on their 53-man roster by signing offensive tackel Jermey Parnell off the New Orleans Saints practice squad, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News. Parnell (6-6, 290) played just one season of football at Ole Miss, playing defensive end after four years on the basketball team. Signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2009, Parnell moved from defensive end to tight end to the offensive line, spending his rookie season on the Saints' practice squad, picking up a Super Bowl ring in the process. The Saints waived Parnell on September 4 and he was claimed by the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins waived Parnell late last month to add offensive tackle Patrick Brown.
