It's the risk teams take when they sign players to the practice squad, other teams can swoop in and sign them to their 53-man roster.

That's what the Dallas Cowboys did on Wednesday. They raided the Lions practice squad and signed developing cornerback Chris Greenwood. Per NFL rules, the Cowboys will have to keep him on the active roster for at least three weeks.

Greenwood's agent, Christopher Cabott, told the Lions that Greenwood flew to Dallas Tuesday night and passed his physical. Cabott said Greenwood left Detroit with "a heavy heart."

I wonder if this signing means that the Cowboys front office is more concerned about the Claiborne shoulder injury than they're letting on.

or it means they had the spot available and not the need and we're about to face a few pass heavy offenses in a row..and if any cornerback went down, we'd be hecked.
