The Cowboys waived safety Eric Frampton with a calf injury. On September 25, 2012, Frampton was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to add depth to a defense depleted by injuries. Although he played in only 13 games, he led the special teams in tackles (21) and was used in the team's defensive sub-packages,[2] before being named the starter at strong safety for the last 2 games of the season.[3] He was resigned on June 5, 2013.
