Current, Former 49ers Players Criticize Teams Coaching Staff

Discussion in 'San Francisco 49ers' started by BigBlueBruiser, Nov 26, 2010.

  1. One experienced 49ers player said the team's offense "doesn't make adjustments like other teams." One former player said it looks as if "there's no backup plan." Another current player joked that his family members sometimes know what play the 49ers are going to run, except he wasn't smiling. They all agree the 49ers have been one of the worst NFL teams this season at making halftime adjustments and in-game countermoves to what the other team is doing, particularly on offense. Want an explanation for a season gone 3-7 wrong, or why the 49ers have the second-worst scoring offense in football? "You're on the right trail," the experienced offensive player said on the condition of anonymity after Sunday's 21-0 loss to Tampa Bay in the team's first home shutout in 33 years.

They have the Packers coming up in week 13, but I'm not sure if the Packers get coaches fired when they play at Lambeau.

It is so obvious the coaching on this team is horendous. I mean the offense does have some talent and they should not be getting blanked. Regardless of what York says in his press conferences, Singletary (and hopefully the rest of the coaching staff) is gone after the season... if not sooner.

yeah they have a couple stars on offense and their defense can be pretty good when the offense helps them out but it is obvious something isn't right in the way they are being coached.
