Former NBA guard Cuttino Mobley has filed a lawsuit against the New York Knicks, claiming the organization forced him to retire in 2008 in order to save money, according to multiple reports. The suit, the New York Post reports, claims the Knicks, after trading for Mobley in '08, sent him to a doctor they "knew would disqualify him from playing" due to a heart condition, so they could save $19 million in luxury tax and insurance payments, and also to clear salary cap space.
