Texans defensive line coach Bill Kollar returned to the team's practice on Thursday, after being hospitalized before Sunday night's game with the Chicago Bears due to blood clots. Kollar had had a similar experience before so when he had shortness of breath before the game, he had an idea of what was happening to him. He was taken to a Chicago hospital and could not accompany the Texans back home after the game. We had a great win and I’m alive,†Kollar told the Houston Chronicle. “So I’m pretty happy about that.†Kollar had had knee surgery three weeks ago and had been put on blood thinners to prevent clotting, but that procedure did not work.
