Deion Sanders told the NFL Network on Sunday he's "very confused" why the New York Jets reportedly are being investigated for tampering with San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The 49ers reportedly accused the Jets of tampering with Crabtree while Crabtree was unsigned. Sanders, an analyst for the league-owned NFL Network, had said at one point on the air when contract negotiations between agent Eugene Parker, who represents Crabtree, and the 49ers were stalled that two teams were willing to trade for Crabtree. "I don't play a role in the negotiations," Sanders said Sunday, according to a transcript provided by the NFL Network. "That's his agent's dealing. That's what they do. I don't get involved in that, but I was on the network as an analyst to find out what is going on. Now, I can call and use my resources to find out what is going on, and that's what I did." Is it a co-incidence that the Jets traded for Braylon Edwards a few hours after Crabtree signed with the 49ers?
