After a 4-of-10 performance against the Dolphins, most fans assumed the writing was on the wall for Geno Smith under center in New York. Too bad Rex Ryan has the final say:

Ryan has already pulled their 'best shot' three times this year thanks to poor play. The Jets have Matt Simms and David Garrard in the fold but are not willing to give either one of them a chance at the starting job. I just don't see what Rex is seeing in Geno Smith. He's too erratic to be a full-time starter. Is there anyone that can make a case for Geno Smith as a starter? Please make your case and don't be offended if we point and laugh at you.

What a train wreck. Part of me ways this butthole fired, but the other part wants him to stay forever for sheer entertainment.

Yeah, no kidding. The press conferences have been hilarious over the years. However, Ryan is nothing more than a blowhard meathead who's talk is beyiond cheap. There is no way that Geno Smith should be under center again this year.

Geno is really the only shot at a long term starting caliber QB they have on there roster. With rookies, you need to take the erratic play. If they werent willing to deal with it then they should have on a decent short term starter like maybe Fitspatrick in the offseason. Garrand definitely isnt that.

So, no I dont believe in Geno. But they have to let him play through it
