Matthew Stafford could conceivably play football for another decade, but he's already on the verge of becoming the Detroit Lions' all-time leader for passing years.

Bobby Layne has held the record for more than 50 years, but with 287 yards against the Chicago Bears this Sunday, Stafford would move past the Hall of Famer.

markaz's Take: For as much as I'm not a fan of his bloated contract, he can throw the rock. Doesn't hurt to have a Calvin Johnson to throw to either.

I don't like the lions but Stafford Is a stud, especially now that he doesn't get hurt all the time.
