Local radio station down here is talking about Gruden and the two QB's. With Gruden's "QB Camp" airing before the draft and the hatchet job done by Gruden to these two, did that show cause these kids to fall in the draft?

While it would be easy to say yes, I'm sure teams got their own look at him.

lol...he didn't do anything different than he did to Bradford. He actually praised them as well...in fact McCoy is going back to him to do it again...

Gruden knows as much about qb's as anyone else in pro football so his advice and critique of those guys could have only helped their draft chances. Teams didn't pick them because they didn't need a qb or they saw something they didn't like in the two.

Being short cost McCoy millions. Being a douche & not being able to beat Navy cost Clausen millions.

Brees is 6'0". People dislike shorter QBs because their release point is very low unless the throwing motion is perfectly overarm. Brees' is. McCoys isn't. They also have trouble seeing over 6'3" and 6'4" offensive linemen.

I think I can elaborate having been a former QB who was 5'8 during HS (practice squad, dont' get your hopes up). You're either forced to have a different release point because of your height (or lack there of), which can result in more sailed balls, and putting more air on passes than you intend. Definitely a little harder to connect on some slant routes unless the positioning is perfect, also can be forced to take bigger drops (Brees) in order to see the field better.

Gruden knows QBs like Emmitt Smith knows the English language. And my answer is if any team took advice from Gruden about QBs deserve to fail in the NFL.

Give Colt some time ans he will be a decent if not good QB. Clausen is garbage. His brothers were garbage.

gruden doesn't know crap about QB's. he's ruined more QB's than most coaches develop in a lifetime.
