Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig left Monday's 10-8 win over Colorado after straining his right knee, but the Dodgers are hoping he won't be out long. The rookie later scored on a sacrifice fly in the sixth against the Rockies, but was replaced in right field by Skip Schumaker in the bottom half of the inning. Puig was 1 for 3 and was hit by a pitch. He's hitting .351 this season with 14 homers and 32 RBIs. He has been feeling some soreness in his knee for weeks, but aggravated it running to first on Nolan Arenado's error and then felt it again when he slid into third after Adrian Gonzalez's single. Puig said there are no plans for an MRI or further tests. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said he doesn't expect Puig to be out for long. Source: ESPN LA
