So my big league (league 1) decided to use an auction system for Free Agents. it's a blind auction. We each have 1000$ for the season. How do I divide my money? I want to pick up James Jones, how much should I bid?
We use it. It's a tough call what to spend. If you really need him I would put up to 20 but if you just want him 5-10. All depends someone else wants him. Most of our auctions were 5-7 dollars
People are going to bid heavy on him, since he was so heavily targeted by one of the best QB's in the league. What I usually do is don't bid round numbers like $50. If you think the highest bid will be $50 then bid $53 or something like that. But once in a while there will be some nut job who bids for broke on week 1.
if you need WR REALLY Bad and you think others are hurting too - spend 36 - if you think your season is over without him spend 51
Yeah I lost out on him but got Ladarious Green for 16$. I really messed up my draft in this league. Not quite sure how I will recover.
By the way the winner got James Jones for 201$. Moncrief went for 140$. those were the big two. One guy had lost Dez so he needed him I guess.
