Does This Trade Help Me?

I give Avery and a 2nd round pick (2010) for Steve Smith (CAR) and a 10th round pick (2010)

we keep 4 players each year, no rules about keepers

I have

Peyton, Roeth
Gore, Moreno, Portis, Coffee
Housh, Sims-Walker, Austin, Nicks, Avery
Gates, Celek
Kaeding, Lindell
Cincy, Bills

we have a ppr, 10 yards/pt. 6 pts all td's
we start 1 qb, 2rb's, 3 wr's, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

Does this solidify my team or is it worth giving up a 6th round (2nd round after 4 player keeper) for smith. I likely wouldn't keep Avery next year?

I would definitely do that to get Steve Smith. He's crap now, but he could return to form at anytime...

 

Man I don't know. Smith is starting to shoot off at the mouth. Risky, but it could pay off.

 

Yes...Smith immediately becomes a keeper and now is the time to pick up guys like Steve Smith when frustrated owners are ready to unload them.
