Free agent quarterback David Garrard has agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins, Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports. Terms were not disclosed. Garrard was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars just days before their 2011 regular-season opener. The Dolphins initially expressed interest in signing Garrard last October when starting quarterback Chad Henne suffered a season-ending injury to his non-throwing shoulder, but Garrard required surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back and sat out the remainder of the season. Over his nine-year career with the Jaguars, the 34-year-old Garrard has completed 61.6 percent of his 2,281 pass attempts for 16,003 yards with 89 touchdowns, 54 interceptions and made one trip to the Pro Bowl (2009).

Forgot about him. Glad to see him get another shot elsewhere. He might be the best QB in Miami since Marino.

Jay Fiedler is a *Hall of Famer, of course he is better!

*denotes he is a member of the National Jewish Museum Sports Hall of Fame, which shares the same amount of prestige as being awarded a sticker in kindergarten.
