Dolphins cornerback Richard Marshall suffered a back injury in the first half of Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders. Marshall, the Dolphins starting boundary and nickel cornerback, watched the final minutes of the second half and the beginning on the third quarter from the sidelines. Marshall was replaced by Nolan Carroll, who manned the boundary opposite starter Sean Smith. Safety Jimmy Wilson, a converted cornerback, manned the nickel spot for the Dolphins when Oakland put three receivers on the field. Losing Marshall could severely handcuff the Dolphins defense because Miami's thin at cornerback, and the Raiders have an aggressive passing game. Source: Sun-Sentinel
